Bio
My name is Jeff Rice. I've been helping others as a Dialysis Technician for over 16 years. I've seen the mental and emotional strain of the kidney patients and just recently received a transfer to utilize my skills in a better way. As a health care provider it has helped me in many ways to overcome my own mountains and valleys. Every day that I go to work I know at the end of the day I've made a difference in someone's life, at times it can be heart broken but for the most part it is very rewarding. For years I've struggled with low self esteem but in the last few years I've found a since of self worth in exercising which has helped me mentally, emotionally and spiritually. My wife has truly given me the love and support that I need to be more independent and aware of just how gifted I am and not to blame others for the disadvantages but to use them as strengths to motivate myself and others. My wife asked me a few days ago, Do you ever feel worthless. I paused for a moment, I replied, No, when I think of all the people I have touched in positive way how could I when I think of where I was mentally and emotionally how could I, I've learned the choices we make in life affect others. For some time, I've been thinking of how I could do something that I enjoy which could help others then Shad came to our dialysis unit to talk to our patients and explained the program to me. Therefore, I am enthused about the program and what it has to offer and would like to be a participant
